Scholarship Information

St. Stephen’s Education Foundation is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities.

These scholarships are funded by individuals through generous directed donations received by the Foundation,

often in honor of someone special, who has touched their life.

If you would like to make a directed donation to fund a scholarship in honor of someone, please email us at Admin@ststephenseducationfoundation.org. We are happy to work with you.

Scholarships are awarded based on knowledge of Catholic faith.

2025 Scholarship Opportunities

Higher Education Scholarship

The Don and Jeanne Argy Scholarship in the amount of $6,000 is awarded to an individual who is graduating from High School, is pursuing additional education at an accredited school and who scores the highest on the academic test designed to reflect their knowledge of our Catholic faith.

Individuals who compete for this scholarship:

  • Must be a practicing Catholic and a registered member of a St. Stephen’s Parish
  • Must plan to attend a two-year or four-year institute of higher learning or a trade school.

The academic test reflecting their knowledge of our Catholic Faith includes a mix of multiple choice, fill in the blank and short answer questions. There is one essay question. Link for sample test.

The test is being scheduled for the week of May 11th, 2025. To register for the test, please send an email with your contact information to admin@ststephenseducationfoundation.org.

St. Stephen’s Catholic School Scholarships

Two On Eagles Wings Memorial Scholarships in the amount of $1500 each will also be awarded again this year.

One $1500 scholarship honoring Rom and Karen Figler will be awarded to the student who scores the highest on the academic test reflecting knowledge of our Catholic Faith and is entering the 8th grade at St. Stephen’s School for the academic year 2025-2026.

One $1500 scholarship honoring the Panepinto Family will be awarded to the student who scores the highest on the academic test reflecting knowledge of our Catholic Faith and is entering 7th grade at St. Stephen’s School for the academic year 2025-2026.

Students eligible to compete for these scholarships:

  • Must plan to attend St. Stephen’s School for the academic year 2025-2026.
  • Must complete the academic test reflecting knowledge of Catholic Faith.
  • Testing will be done in school. There is additional registration needed for these scholarships.

The academic test reflecting knowledge of Catholic Faith will include a mix of multiple choice, fill in the blank and short answer questions. There will also be one essay question.

2024 Higher Education Scholarship

Don and Jeanne Argy Scholarship in the amount of $6000 was awarded to Eric Bartlo. Eric will be attending Canisius College.

St. Stephen’s Catholic School Scholarships

On Eagles Wings Scholarship honoring Bill and Mary Kay Schaab in the amount of $1500 was awarded to Lucas Saldana. Lucas will be entering eighth grade at St. Stephen’s School.

On Eagles Wings Memorial Scholarship in memory of Kurt and Monica Villani in the amount of $1500 was awarded to Anna Hussainov. Anna will be entering seventh grade at St. Stephen’s School.

Don and Jeanne Argy Scholarship in the amount of $6000 was awarded to Jack Rogers.

St. Stephen’s Catholic School Scholarships

On Eagles Wings Memorial Scholarship in memory of Bob and Helen Utz in the amount of $1500 was awarded to entering 8th grader, Matthew Cwilkinski.

On Eagles Wings Scholarship honoring Michele Fusco in the amount of $1500 was awarded to entering 7th grader, Gabrielle Wild.
